About SportsMenus
SportsMenus is a concept developed to help athletes and avid exercisers find the right balance of nutrition, training and recovery to maximize their performance in training and competition. This concept is based on a matrix of nutrient timing and training loads for workout, competition and recovery. This matrix can be applied to pre-season, in-season, post-season, and off-season training and competition and is referred to as periodization. Knowledge is power and SportsMenus empowers athletes to apply training and nutrition principles and guidelines to achieve their own performance and physical goals. Periodization can be planned for a year, a number of weeks, one week, or even hours and SportsMenus helps an athlete or coach manage the fueling of the workouts or competition.

Weight Lifting and Core Exercise Technique Training
Many people have equipment at home or belong to a gym, but have never been taught proper weight lifting technique. Core training is vitally important in your daily physical activities – lifting, bending, twisting, carrying, etc. – as well as being vitally important in any kind of sports activity. Core training is a relatively new discipline and can be done with several different devices. It is really important to know how to use these devices – exercise balls, balance devices, exercise bands, etc. – because your movement is executed from an unstable position and if you’re not trained, you may be wasting your time or you may injure yourself. Sessions are 1.5 hours and you can schedule as many or as few as you feel you need. A minimum of two sessions is recommended – one for weight training and one for core – if you are just beginning or are an inexperienced lifter.
Resistance Training, Functional Training, and Cardio Program Design
All individuals who are working out should have a plan in order to maximize fat loss, muscle gain and functional strength development. Bindee can design a plan that will fit your training, conditioning and physique goals, whether you are a beginner or an elite athlete.

I have worked out for over 20 years with various trainers and athletic clubs. I have achieved better and faster results from working out one-on-one with Bindee. She is a dedicated trainer who listens to her clients’ needs… L.L. Client 3 years
Bindee has brought me to a new level of fitness and thinking. She has taught me how to eat clean and lean for my sport. I truly feel she is the best in her field. And I don’t think I could survive without the regular intensity that I feel after a “Bindee” workout!! J.S. Client 18 months
Bindee motivates me to keep working out and she pushes me where I wouldn’t push myself. She has taught me how to make lean food choices and choose the right supplements. I am very busy with my business and Bindee goes out of her way to accommodate my changing schedule… D.P. Client 3½ years
I had always tried to lose weight and get in shape, but never in the right way. Bindee showed me how to lean out, gain muscle, and look and be incredibly fit. I am an elite athlete and I know I can reach the pinnacle of my sport with her help. She has changed my life in ways I didn’t even dream possible. C.H. Client 7 years
I walk in the door and Bindee knows how I’m feeling that day…when to push and when to modify my workout. I don’t have to think about anything but showing up then she does the rest. D. B. Client 2 years
Bindee is a true Personal Trainer with emphasis on Personal. Starting with her facility that is her own gym and is not shared with anyone else which really helps you to stay focused during your workout. You are not ever waiting to use a piece of equipment because you have the gym to yourself. I appreciate that she does not hold a clipboard and just tell you to do a lift and how many reps to do. She gives you a demonstration and points of emphasis. Then she watches what you do and gives you constructive feedback. Additionally, she is the ultimate workout partner there to help you with that tiny bit of assistance to get that last rep in without sacrificing the correct form. Bindee tailors her program to meet your needs. She is constantly updating workouts to keep them fresh. Bindee is always researching new exercises and movement patterns to help you reach your goals. Nutrition is a critical component to physical fitness. Bindee's sports nutrition background helps ensure you are not spoiling the effort you put into a workout with a poor diet. I really don't have to time to research and find new workouts or develop a nutrition plan. I come to Bindee because she takes care of all of this in one stop. S.M. Client 9 months
Bindee is my sports nutritionist because she uses a different approach towards her clients. I really feel she, first, takes time to understand the sport you are involved in and then she takes the time to really understand your specific needs. She takes an individual approach towards your needs and will develop a program specifically for you. I have dealt with other sports nutritionists whom I felt didn't truly understand the needs of my sport and took a more general approach. Bindee really takes the time to learn about the sport and most importantly how you can best achieve your goals. She is always studying new ideas and up-to-date information concerning the world of sports nutrition. One of the most important things I feel that makes the biggest difference is the different ideas she gives out for menus. As an athlete, food is huge part of my life and I am always looking for new ideas. I feel Bindee is sensitive to that and is very cognizant about trying to give me new ideas that I can work with. I feel her work is "new and fresh" and I can really trust her advice and programming that she gives me. AB Client 10 years
Benefits
Do You Need a Personal Trainer?
It definitely is a luxury and sometimes a necessity to have a personal trainer…especially for a long period of time. You should feel a special bond with your trainer – you should trust that your trainer will make the most of your time, work you out hard and provide you with balanced exercise programming designed to meet your goals. Whether it’s a one-time session, a multiple time block of sessions, or long-term relationship 2-3 times per week, here are some reasons why my clients have hired me…
Proper Exercise Technique – An experienced, certified trainer will be able to educate you in proper exercise technique so you will understand how to lift or move through an exercise safely. Proper form is essential when weight training! Small changes in form can make a huge difference in muscle isolation and loading and that makes the most of your time! Motivation – Not only should your trainer motivate you during your training session, but should motivate you to want to make every appointed session and be accountable for your progress. Many people know what to do; they just need a reason to get started…or restarted. A great trainer will continue to challenge you and help you embrace fitness as a lifetime commitment.
Accountability – Everyone has a hectic schedule and for many people, if they don’t have an appointment to work out, everything else will become more important and exercise will take last priority. Having a personal trainer will provide a marker for your progress and accomplishments. The key to success is accountability.
First-time lifting weights or core training – if you have never worked out before or have never really known how to work out or what exercises to do, hiring a trainer is a must! It’s very difficult for a novice to read a book or magazine article and be able to readily apply that knowledge to a complete workout program.
Taking it to the next level – If you’ve been working out for a long time and you seem to have reached a point where your body is not growing or improving, perhaps you need the help of a certified trainer to revamp your program and to set new goals.
Sports Training - Sports-specific training, or exercise training that will make you strong for your sport, should be a staple for any high level sports enthusiast. Training strengthens your core, joints, connective tissue and your muscles so you will be a stronger athlete and less prone to injury.
Personalized Programming – It’s the trainer’s job to determine what exercises to do, in what order, and at what level of intensity. Having a personal trainer means you need to just show up ready to work out and everything else is done for you.
Working Out On Your Own – A trainer can write a program for you to do on your own at your gym or your home as often as you need it, because your workout program should change regularly.
Enhancing Your Lifestyle – Working out regularly is just one part of living a healthy lifestyle. You feel energized, more accomplished, and fit. I want my clients to get the most out of their training and the most of their lives!
Do You Need A Sports Dietitian?
There is a fine science to body fat loss, muscle gain, and knowing the best foods to eat for your sport or exercise. Nearly all of the “12-week challenges” suggest a limited number of menu items and are lacking in a wide range of nutrients that are important for energy production, muscle recovery and immune system function. Many personal trainers are not qualified to make nutrition and dietary recommendations and have difficulty translating the science of nutrition into practical application. I am constantly educating my clients on how supplements work, which ones they should take, how the body’s energy systems work, why, how and when they need to eat for their exercise plan or physique goals, and how the body gains muscle and loses fat. Additionally, I see many athletes and exercisers that have certain conditions that require dietary modification. As a sports dietitian, I understand the link between training and nutrition and I can customize that for you!
